Surprise, AZ This is not typical classical music but original compositions that are just terrific. My dogs and I love to listen to every CD (3 CD set). My neighbor said she heard my border collie mix crying at night when I was at work. Stumbled onto these CDs on the internet and thought why not. We love them! When I come home at night she is asleep on the couch. Also helped when I got a new puppy! The neighbor even likes the music. Lubbock, TX Our dog had never really acted up before, but then she started invading kitchen cabinets and dragging items all over the house without warning. On the day she got the flour bag my wife and I decided we needed to take action. I stumbled across this product on the Internet and was immediately skeptical yet strangely curious. I was pleasantly surpised to find that it actually works. Every day before I leave for work I press play on the CD changer and the CDs start spinning. We have not had a problem with our dog destroying anything else in the house since. She's usually sound asleep when my wife gets home in the afternoon. It could be that it's better than total silence so she doesn't feel the need to curb her boredom. I haven't tried experimenting with regular music CDs or the radio, but somehow I don't think they'd be as effective. At any rate, if you have a mildly cantankerous pet try this out. I would not recommend this for pet owners with pets who have serious behavioral issues. Seattle, WA These CD's seem to soothe my two cats, and they certainly soothe me. I put them on often, even when I'm home, for great ambient music. Well worth it. I had a stray puppy in my home overnight. My own dog was not thrilled with this, plus the puppy was very nervous, which made my dog nervous, which made the puppy even more nervous, which made my dog.....fortunately, BarkFest ended with the help of this most excellent CD, which I am now highly recommending. The puppy quieted down and slept through the night, enabling all of us to do the same. Wonderful, relaxing music. I play this at an animal shelter and it seems to help to relax the cats - most of them are asleep by the time the CD finishes. I highly recommend it for pet owners. Watertown, MA My veterinarian and pet sitter both suggested I get this product for my dog. He suffers from horrible separation anxiety. I hate to use prescription drugs on him unnecessarily, and other things I've done when leaving the house for school and work -- leaving on the radio or TV -- weren't doing the job.

As a nationally syndicated pet-care columnist and book author, I was sent a review copy of this collection. I laughed, until I put it on. It's lovely stuff! I can't vouch how your pets will react, but I play these CDs every day -- for me! Relaxing, uplifting, and just plain wonderful. Northern California I ordered this because I felt like indulging my dog...it's nicer than plain classical music as it does not have the heavy crescendos, etc. that may work to excite rather than calm a pet. I love to throw this on in the afternoon after our walk. He sleeps and I get my paperwork done guilt free. Even if you don't have pets, this is fun! As a former music student and teacher I was very interested in these CDs recommended to me by an on-line friend. I went ahead and ordered them out of curiosity, and didn't regret it at all. The cats and dog love it, I love it, and I wish I had had this music to play for my daughter when she was still a baby. It is very soothing for animals and humans alike. Scheveningen, Netherlands I saw this product in a pet store and decided to go online to read the online reviews of the product before I actually bought it. All the reviews were surprisingly positive so I figured I'd try it - why not? At least, I could listen to it and relax even if the animals didn't. Well! My two dogs (a shep mix and an akita mix) and the two cats were actually listening and then they went to sleep! It really did calm them down! I couldn't believe it. We were having the most difficult time with our lab. He is the sweetest dog when we are home, but as soon as we leave, he gets angry and chews anything in sight. But after leaving the Pet Music CD's on for him for several days, he stopped chewing. Just like that. Pet Music saved our hardwood floors. Thanks so much. I was at my wits end with my dog - cute and loyal, but too hyper. It was hard to get things done around the house with him needing so much attention. A friend had heard about Pet Music, so I thought I would give it a try. I put on the CDs, plunked down on the couch with the dog and a book. After about 20 minutes the dog finally relaxed, and sprawled out (no more petting needed). There we stayed for about 90 minutes. Now when I put the music on, he goes into the living room and hangs out to listen for a while. It's great for both of us! In only one day Pet Music seemingly had an effect on my dog, Swanson. He was not so jumpy and freaked out. My advice is to play it about 10 minutes before you leave your pet alone. Buy it for your pet or yourself. With the onslaught of drugs being prescribed for pets, I was thrilled that a homeopathic and effective remedy like this exists. It's a winner!
